Is Cheat Codes Football Trading Systems Worth It? A PRO Trader’s Honest Review

AFP Member Bryan was part of the Cheat Codes Early Access group and is happy to share his experience with other AFP members. Always remember, this is the perspective of a pro.

As someone who’s been football trading full-time in the UK for the last 6 years, I’ve seen plenty of systems come and go. Some promise the world, others barely deliver the basics.

So when I first heard about Cheat Codes, I’ll admit, I was insanely skeptical.

Well marketed? Definitely. But was it another gimmick dressed up in a fancy members area?

I mean the name of it was already “over hypey” but I was curious and put my name down for one of the early access spots.

I got the early access invite (surprised me to get it, thought I was blacklisted!) and I signed up with a raised eyebrow and a spreadsheet ready to track results. Here’s what I’ve found.

Why I Tried Cheat Codes (Despite My Doubts)

Let’s be honest: most of us who’ve been around Betfair for a while have our own strategies. I’ve built a decent portfolio over the years, my own version of Lay The Draw, some Over 2.5 edge-based entries, and a few correct score plays I’ve refined through pain and testing.

Then i have my automated systems from AFP.

But even as a pro, there are gaps.

The reality is that you don’t know what you don’t know. And Cheat Codes promised something interesting:

“We ran thousands of simulations to uncover the precise match scenarios where proven systems actually deliver.”

Their words, not mine. And that’s not the usual fluff. That got my attention.

I wasn’t interested in learning another bloke’s new variation on laying the draw or backing Over 1.5 Goals, I can do that myself.

But to learn “proven” angles? Interesting, so I went for it, worst case scenario I am only losing money.

First Impressions of the Cheat Codes Platform

I’m based in Manchester and have used all sorts of trading platforms over the years, from simple PDFs to full member sites. Cheat Codes is well presented, with clear video tutorials, real trade walkthroughs, and every system laid out cleanly.

They also back it up. full results breakdowns, strike-rate metrics, and data-driven explanations. That’s a big step up from many of the courses I have seen and done down the years. Many leaving me seriously disappointed.

You can tell this is created by people who really know football trading and it is cut above anything else out there. They’re not just theorists.

Surprises: What Cheat Codes Got Right

OK So on to the actual systems, well a few of the angles they uncovered were things I’ve suspected for years. That was actually reassuring, nice to know I have always been on the right path.

There’s a psychological benefit to having your hunches confirmed by simulation-based testing. You realise some of your “lucky systems” were actually backed by long-term edges, you just didn’t have the data to see it.

For example, the Escalator System? I’ve been doing something similar in the second half for years. But the trigger they use, based on a specific scoreline and xG range, was a nice refinement. It gave me more confidence to push a bit harder in those moments. The score-line entry was also something I had a hunch on but couldn’t prove, lets face it, none of us really keep the best records do we?

I also found value in the Shifter System, even though I probably won’t use it in my daily portfolio. It confirmed something I’ve long thought: laying teams who are winning against the run of play is massively underrated.

What I Didn’t Like (Minor Gripe)

So Cheat Codes does deliver on its promise. It gives you the what, the when, and even shows the how.

But if you’re not using some kind of alert service or tool to help flag up the trade conditions, you can end up jumping between matches, trying to match filters manually. I use in-play guru to manage my alerts but the course didn’t mention any of that and that could be a bit of an oversight.

The cynical side of me thinks it is because there is no affiliate deal in place 😉

Anyway, its not unmanageable especially if you’re disciplined and only trade 3–5 matches a day, but on a Saturday afternoon I think some will struggle.

You get live demonstrations of the trades via video also which is very cool, but maybe it was my computer but some of them were slow to load. Could just be my connection there as the next day was a lot smoother.

How I’m Using Cheat Codes (My Way)

This is where it gets important: I’m not using the systems exactly as taught. But I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

For example, the Fortress System. I understand the logic, but I’ve retooled it slightly to suit the markets I usually work in. I’ve blended parts of Cheat Codes into my own strategies. Kind of like adding elite-level research to your existing playbook.

If you’re a total beginner, the systems as-is are great. Just follow the criteria.

If you’re a pro? They actually become powerful modular upgrades. Take what fits, refine the rest, and keep your own identity as a trader.

Would I Recommend Cheat Codes to other pros?

If you’re already profitable and just want fresh ideas, yes, this will spark them.

If you’re stuck in that frustrating “just above breakeven” stage and don’t know why your trades aren’t landing, yes, this might give you the edge you’re missing.

If you’re brand new and want a full training course from scratch? Probably not. I been trading for years and I had to watch the Escalator system video 3 times before I got it so I can only imagine a newbie would be in over their head.

But for active traders who want to sharpen the blade?

✅ Yes — Cheat Codes is worth it.

As you know, I prefer not to mention the systems I try which aren’t good which ends up being the majority.

But AFP members will do well with this and it is built on the AFP principles of data proven systems so it makes sense to get involved if you can get it.

Overall

Cheat Codes isn’t a miracle pill. But it is a serious set of tools, the kind most traders never get access to. I’ve been trading for nearly a decade, and this is one of the few products that hasn’t just promised value but delivered it.

If you’ve ever wondered when exactly to use your favourite trading systems… Cheat Codes will give you answers.

And as traders, that clarity is priceless. If you are a pro and making money from this anyway, you will most likely make back the cost of the course in a few trades but you will satisfy your curiosity at the same time. Haha!

Cheat Codes is only available for short periods at a time and to established members only. You have to join the waiting list to be notified.
